Welcome to Cairnlea Park Primary School

I am extremely honoured and privileged to serve as the Principal of this wonderful learning community.

Established in 2004, Cairnlea Park Primary School provides attractive, modern and well-resourced learning spaces designed to support high quality teaching and learning. Our spacious grounds include well-maintained playgrounds, synthetic grass play areas, a sensory garden and outdoor learning spaces that extend our classrooms beyond the school buildings. We take great pride in maintaining a learning environment where student achievement and effort are visibly celebrated throughout the school.

At Cairnlea Park Primary School, our mission is to develop confident, motivated and lifelong learners who are supported and challenged to reach their full potential within a culture of respect, responsibility and high expectations.

Student wellbeing sits at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to ensuring every child feels safe, valued and connected to our school community. We believe that when students feel supported and have a strong sense of belonging, they are better able to strive for excellence and achieve high standards in their learning.

Our staff are caring, highly committed professionals who work collaboratively to continuously improve teaching practice and student outcomes. We share collective responsibility for the success of every student and maintain a strong culture of teamwork, professional learning and continuous improvement.

Through careful planning and the use of student data, our teaching teams deliver targeted learning programs that meet students at their point of need. We maintain a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy as the foundations for success, supported by a broad and engaging curriculum designed to develop the whole child. Our Student Engagement programs promote independence, resilience and personal responsibility, preparing students to become active and positive contributors to society.

Students participate in a comprehensive specialist program including Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Physical Education, Sport, Italian (LOTE), Digital Technologies and Library. We also actively promote environmental responsibility through sustainability initiatives such as recycling programs, water conservation and composting.

We provide a strong tutoring program to support students requiring additional assistance while also extending students who demonstrate high achievement. We are proud of our strong academic outcomes and our consistent NAPLAN results reflect our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

Our students also benefit from a wide range of enrichment opportunities including camps, excursions, sporting programs, instrumental music, performing arts productions and quality incursions that enhance both learning and wellbeing.

Cairnlea Park Primary School values strong partnerships with families and the wider community. Our School Council and Fundraising Committee play an important role in supporting school improvement, and we greatly value the involvement of our families in classrooms and school events.

The Cairnlea Community Hub, located on our school grounds, further strengthens our community connections. The Hub includes a kindergarten and community services delivered in partnership with Brimbank City Council, supporting families and enhancing community engagement.
