Buongiorno a tutti!
Italian Day is on again this year and it will take place on Wednesday the 12th of October!
On this special day students will be involved in Italian activities for the whole day. ‘The Melbourne School of Tarantella’ will be performing a dancing show where students will learn the historical and cultural background of the Tarantella and an easy exciting dance routine.
We encourage all students to come to school dressed up representing an Italian icon, such as Pinocchio, a gondoliere, a famous Italian artist, scientist or inventor, a popular Italian car, Italian food, a chef, Mona Lisa, la Befana, etc. Just use your imagination and get some inspiration from Italian culture and folklore!
If students do not have a costume we encourage them to wear something with the Italian colours of green, white and red.
As a special treat, a gelati van will be at the school during recess and lunch time. The cost is $3.50 per serve and it can be purchased directly on the day. The flavour is a delicious rainbow!
The ice cream contains water, cane sugar, glucose (corn), corn starch, acid (330), colour (102, 110, 142), vegetable gum (412, 415, 410), emulsifier (471). The cone contains wheat flour, wheaten cornflour, vegetable oil, emulsifier [lecithin from soy (322)], sodium bicarbonate, salt and natural colours. We can also offer gelato in a cup for the same price for children that are coeliac.
